Police-Free Schools in San José: A Community Forum

We hope you can take this special opportunity to listen to the experiences of young people, learn about the school-to-prison pipeline and data on disproportionality in SJUSD, and explore the visionary ideas in the Derrick Sanderlin Resolution.

This event will be hosted on Zoom by current and former SJUSD students, and includes presentations by DeBug Youth, YouthHype, Young Women’s Freedom Center, the Burns Institute, and the authors of the Derrick Sanderlin Resolution. After the presentation we will have a panel Q and A, followed by facilitated break out rooms.
